Dr. Paul J. Gordon, a Louisiana native, knew as a child that he wanted to be a doctor. It was not until he suffered a shoulder injury playing high school sports that he knew he wanted to be a chiropractor. After undergoing surgery and enduring months of rehab, he realized that he still had limited range of motion and limited use of his shoulder. A chance meeting with a chiropractor helped him learn how to heal his injury and regain strength and range of motion. With a renewed spirit and focused mission, Dr. Gordon decided he would become a chiropractor.
He went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, while minoring in Chemistry, from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1998. He then received his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Parker Chiropractic College in Dallas, Texas in 2001. While at Parker, he also earned a second Bachelor of Science in Anatomy.
After graduating, Dr. Gordon returned to his home state of Louisiana to begin practicing. For the past 15 years, he has gained particular attention for his work rehabilitating patients who were injured in automobile collisions, slip and fall accidents, and work-related claims. During this time, he has been deposed by defense attorneys regarding his treatment of injured patients. Many of those depositions helped facilitate a settlement of the patient’s claim prior to trial.
In addition to treating personal injury patients, Dr. Gordon also has a comprehensive understanding of corrective spinal care for wellness patients (those who seek preventative care). He also enjoys providing chiropractic care to children, adolescents, and expectant mothers. Dr. Gordon has received additional coursework and training in pediatric and prenatal care to better serve his patients. He is certified through the International Pediatric Chiropractic Association.
Dr. Gordon is a member of the Chiropractic Association of Louisiana (CAL), the American Chiropractic Association (ACA), the American Institute of Personal Injury Physicians (AIPIP), and the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). He is currently working on his board certifications for the rehabilitation diplomate program with the American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board and on his advanced certification in Whiplash and Brain Injury Traumatology with the Spine Research Institute of San Diego.
